Fall Equinox

Fall, in the northern hemisphere, is a mirror of spring, and is the time of bounty that the spring promised. Like spring, it is the midpoint, when the day and night are equal. People around the world celebrate the harvest of summer's bounty and store it for use during the winter days ahead. It is a time of thanksgiving for this bounty, of pausing to reflect to be aware of the miracle of the seasons, and of the beauty of natures colors brought by the cooling days.

 

When:

Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Location:

Griffith Park (off Vermont Ave.). We gather on the lawn under the trees to the right of the Greek Theatre entrance.

What to bring:

Drums, rattles, instruments, if you have them. Poetry and stories to share!

Parking:

Free parking is available within the park.

Cost:

The event is free, but donations will be accepted
