Purpose
The primary purpose of the Gay Men's Medicine Circle includes the following:
- To use the consciousness and tools of contemporary core shamanism to further the developemnt of gay spirit and community among gay men.
- To provide continued training in shamanic practice.
- To study the lives and teachings of gay visionaries and spiritual teachers throughout history and from a multicultural perspective in order to explore the evolutionary and social meaning of being gay.
- To foster and facilitate intergenerational dialogue, cooperation, and responsibility within the gay community.
- To provide a wide variety of gay-centered workshops, conferences, and gatherings specifically designed to further the exploration of gay spirituality and consciousness.
- To conduct community ceremonies and rituals aimed at facilitating the understanding and creation of sacred space within gay men and within the gay community.
- To further the physical and spiritual well-being of gay men by providing a wide variety of shamanic healing practices.
